overview
Crate is a grocery delivery service. The project was to rebuild a five-step checkout that lost most shoppers before they paid.
the problem
Shoppers had to create an account before paying, fill eight fields across five steps, and only then found out the next free delivery slot was tomorrow.

solution
Guest checkout by default, the delivery slot picked from the cart, and a two-step flow that ends in one-tap payment. A free-delivery meter nudges the basket instead of a pop-up.

outcome
The new flow took testers under a minute from cart to paid, and every field that was not needed to deliver the order is gone.
